Next round is Matthew vs. Sliding Spikes.

A Thief vs Spikes.

According to Thief from 8 bit Theater, Pirates leave everything not nailed to the ground. Thieves do not. Matthew steals the Spikes from the ground, selling them and banking the money to his massive overseas bank accounts, and gets the vote.

Matthew is very fast and lucky (not very strong but potentially lethal with a single(otherwise weak) hit)
Sliding spikes are not nearly as fast as they appear(link can outrun them), practically indestructible.

If the sliding spikes can live up to their reputation, they should be able to take a hit from Matthew and crush him completely.
