| Comments: I can't believe it's already been almost a decade since we worked on the original Tempest characters. Working on the updated versions, it's fun to see how our illustration styles and skills have evolved through the years. For Flee's updated look, I wanted to give him a more slick / layed back attitude, and pictured him as a guy who normally thinks and talks his way out of situations, and leaves the dirty work up to his “brothers” unless he really has to step up and brawl. I left the scar off his face in the new version, and spiked his hair up thinking that Flee would be more of a playboy who cares about how he looks in front of the ladies, but that big fat scar can always return on his face as plot device if there’s ever a Tempest 2. :D - Steven |
